Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel news. Jed Pitcher, who has served as Chairman, President and CEO for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, as well as President and COO of The Regence Group, will retire at the end of 2003 after 37 years with the company. Scott Ideson, formerly Vice President of Operations, has been named as the new President and CEO. Ideson is replacing John Ruch, who has been CEO since 2000. Caregiver Support Network, a Salt Lake City-based Alzheimer Specialty Home Health Agency, has appointed Val Schlientlz [Schlintz] as the Agency Administrator. ClearOne Communications has named Zee Hakimoglu [hockey moe loo]as Vice President of Product Management.
Get ready to honor Utah’s finest citizen/soldiers at the Salt Lake Military Salute coming up on Saturday, February 7th at the Grand America. The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant General Hal Moore, co-author of “We Were Soldiers Once…and Young.” Moore was played by Mel Gibson in the movie based on the book.
