Psomas, a consulting engineering firm, was recently honored by the American Consulting Engineers Council for its work on the design of a new flood-preventing storm drain outfall to the Weber River in Ogden.

According to the Utah Energy Office, Utah mines produced 25.3 million tons of coal in 2002. This is down 6.4 percent from the near record production of 2001. Half of the nation’s electricity is produced by coal.
