THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel news. Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy announced that Evan Strassberg has joined the law firm as an associate. Van Cott also announced its 2003-2004 board of directors: Robert Anderson, Stephen Swindle, Gregory Williams, Matthew McNulty, and David J. Smith. Anderson will be Chairman of the Board and Swindle will be President and CEO of the firm. Larry Ellertson, Mayor of Lindon, is the newly elected President of the Utah League of Cities and Towns.

Employees from CH2M, an engineering services firm, will team-up with clients and local community groups to test the quality of water in 13 bodies of water along the Wasatch Front. The action is in support of the ongoing World Water Monitoring Day.

The Chamber’s Business After Hours networking event is early this month. Join other business professionals tomorrow, December 11th at 5 pm at the Hotel Monaco for food, prizes, and business building networking. Hotel Monaco and Bambara Restaurant have created the perfect business gathering place downtown. To register call the Chamber at 328-5050 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
