This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
I recently attended the Utah Families Foundation event in Park City. The organization changed the venue for the first time in many years. When I was notified that the Westgate Park City Resort & Spa would be the hosting hotel, I was pleased and curious because I had wanted to visit the property for some time.
I did a program on the Westgate three years ago when it was first announced. I had watched construction from the highway and knew that it received great exposure during the Winter Olympics.
Well, my visit was most enjoyable! This is a FIRST CLASS property! This luxury resort is conveniently located at the base of The Canyons resort. Ideally situated for both winter and summer outdoor enthusiasts, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa is just minutes from historic Main Street, 25 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and at the base of The Canyons' gondola.
The property has 185 luxury, slope side villas. The units are finely crafted in a contemporary mountain style featuring wood, stone and granite. Sizes range from a standard to a four-bedroom with loft. Joyce and I enjoyed our one-bedroom loft unit. It included a kitchenette, washer and dryer, jetted bathtub, Jacuzzi and steam shower, TVs in the living room and bedroom, and a great fireplace. There was even a hot tub on the patio.
We took advantage of the Papillion spa. The spa features Utah Desert botanical treatments and offers full service spa and salon offerings with a scenic mountain location.
This is a real family facility. There is an indoor/outdoor-heated swimming pool, the Westgate Grill with Executive Chef Don McCradic, a marketplace and deli, a Kid's Club offering on-site childcare, two outdoor Jacuzzis and a video arcade room. In fact, I was so impressed I'm taking my entire family to the Westgate for the Thanksgiving weekend.
