The Utah Blaze presented a check to the Utah Muscular Dystrophy Association in the amount of $6,768 during the MDA's national Labor Day Telethon Monday in Sandy, Utah.
Some 20 Utah Blaze front office personnel, players, Harley Davidson Utah Blaze Dancers, and friends of the Blaze answered telephones for nearly 30 minutes during the local break-away to ABC4 Utah in support of the cause.
The 22-hour nationwide event, raised a record $65 million for the MDA.
The MDA is a non-profit organization working to defeat Muscular Dystrophy and some 40 related diseases.
