Here are a few of the unusual things picked up recently for disposal by 1-800-GOT-JUNK: 18,000 cans of expired sardines, a 300-year-old Scottish rocking chair, a full McDonald’s McHappy-Land play set, and a case of homemade jam dated 1964.

Next Tuesday, November 12th, at the Little America Hotel, is the 27th Annual American Express Women & Business Conference. The highlight of the conference is the Athena Award Luncheon, sponsored by Wells Fargo Women’s Financial Services. Three people will be honored at the luncheon as “Pathfinders.” Pathfinders are community leaders who have a history of support for women and women’s issues. One Pathfinder is Jane Shock, the Vice President of Community Development for American Express Centurion Bank. For more information on the conference, call the Chamber at 328-5075, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
