THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Exciting things are always happening in Utah. Last week, for example, I visited the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George. Over 7000 people from around the world came to compete in sporting events for seniors. The two-week event featured basketball, bowling, bridge, cycling, golf, horseshoes, lawn bowling, mountain biking, race walking, racquetball, road races, softball, square dancing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, triathlon, volleyball, and walking tours. The Senior Games began in 1987 and are open to all athletes ages 50 and above. For more information visit www.seniorgames.net.

Wasatch Solutions Group and Envision Telephony announced a new roundtable session concerning new concepts for Call Centers. It will be held on October 29th at the Chamber. For more information, call today at 435-615-7756.

Don’t miss the Chamber’s Business After Hours networking event at Spa Vitoria this Thursday, October 23rd. Spa Vitoria is the first Medical Spa in the Mountain West and a beautiful place for the Chamber’s famous business-building networking. To register, call the Chamber at 328-5053, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
