THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT
Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel news. Qwest Communications named Vince Hancock its director of media relations for Utah and Montana. Hancock will handle all Qwest external communications for both states. Mikado Japanese restaurant has hired Terrill Roe as General Manager for its downtown and Cottonwood restaurants. Roe will introduce a new menu and wine list to Mikado. Jon Fotheringham has joined the Salt Lake Chamber staff as an Account Executive. Sara Jane Pieper has joined the IHC Physician Group—opening her practice at the IHC Health Center clinic on 900 East.
And now for the Salt Lake Chamber committee-of-the-day: The Chamber’s Political Action Committee identifies and supports candidates who are favorable to business. The Chamber PAC uses voluntary funds that are independent from the Chamber.
This month’s Business After Hours networking event is at Spa Vitoria on October 23rd. Spa Vitoria is the first Medical Spa in the Mountain West and a beautiful place for the Chamber’s famous business-building networking. To register, call the Chamber at 328-5053, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
