This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
I wonder how much of our cooking is done outside of the kitchen? This time of year, more and more of us love to use our backyards or patios to grill or barbecue our meals. We regularly cook and eat in the backyard, camping sites and in our cars or RVs.
I recently was in Logan and had a wonderful visit with Ty Measom, developer of a company called Camp Chef. Ty told me that the company manufactures durable, powerful, rugged, versatile and portable cooking equipment for outdoor enthusiasts.
For more than 15 years, Camp Chef has developed products that show that they live up to their motto, " THE WAY TO COOK OUTDOORS." He believes outdoor cooking can be simple, fun, healthy and delicious. And Camp Chef products show you how.
I walked through the manufacturing facility and then the show room and marveled at all of the innovative methods that Camp Chef offers to the outdoor cook. I was particularly intrigued with the Ultimate Turkey Roaster. I heard of the delicious but dangerous method of deep-frying turkeys in deep hot oil cookers. Some people have even set their patios on fire! The Ultimate Turkey Roaster uses no oil and can cook a 12-pound turkey in just 60 minutes. And the taste? Fantastic!
Camp Chef products are used by the vast majority of Boy Scout troops in Utah. They have found that the camp stoves, the Sport Grill, the charcoal stoves, the deep dish Dutch Ovens and all of the outdoor kitchen accessories are invaluable to camping excursions.
Ty demonstrated the deluxe one-, two- and three-burner camp stoves for me. These are more than just a normal camp stove. The modular outdoor cooking system allows you to create easy gourmet meals at home, camp or at the game. You can use a griddle to prepare a hot pancake breakfast for your hungry crowd or roast turkeys for the ultimate picnicking experience. What a great company!
