The Salt Shakers, the goodwill ambassadors of the Chamber, recently began a new program. They have been meeting with the business owners in Salt Lake City’s Central Business District—getting to know them and talking about the merger between the Chamber and the Downtown Alliance. You can recognize the Shakers by their trademark white jackets.
Repertory Dance Theatre is holding an in-service workshop for elementary teachers on June 16th at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. For more information go to www.rdtutah.org.
Orbit® Irrigation Products announced the results of their essay contest. Nicole Hansen, a senior from Bingham High School in South Jordan, was one of two runner-ups that received $500 dollars in prizes.
Camco Construction has been chosen as the general contractor on four discount retail stores in Draper, Payson, Richfield, and Clinton, Utah. Camco was also chosen by Perma-Plate to construct their new 21,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City.
Business After Hours this month will be at the Utah Arts Festival on Thursday, June 19th. It’s a festive atmosphere for the Chamber’s famous business building networking. There will also be the usual great food and prizes. So check out the Utah Arts Festival and then come by the Northeast corner of the City and County building at 5 pm.
