The Salt Lake Chamber and the Utah Arts Council presented arts awards last week. The Salt Lake Chamber gave its Honors in the Arts—Philanthropic Award to the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation. The Utah Arts Council gave the Governor’s Award in the Arts—Artist Award to Ada R. Rigby, an artist from Blanding who specializes in intricate paper-cutting. Portraits of the recipients by Busath Photography will be hung in Abravanel Hall and in the Chamber offices.

Harmons recently donated a percentage of March’s frozen food sales to the Special Olympics. Special Olympics Utah will receive more than $70,000 dollars.

FrameRate, a provider of multimedia delivery solutions, announced the release of CGLink—a web-accessible character generator. The new system makes it easier to post emergency and public announcements over cable or broadcast television.

Stantec’s 9th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on August 15th at The Ranches Golf Club in Eagle Mountain.

The Chamber’s is holding a special Business After Hours II in Wasatch County tonight at 5 p.m. Business After Hours II will be at RJ Enterprises in Heber City. Delta Stone Products, RJ Enterprises Inc., and Mountain Valley Stone in Heber City are Utah’s only full service stone companies.
