Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Daniel McCarthy has been named chair of Parsons Behle & Latimer’s intellectual property law department. Jasen Bennie has joined Cameron Construction as an Estimator. Forthgear, a corporate brand management firm, promoted Ben Borchert to Director of Print Services and Adam Gunn to Designer. Forthgear also hired Bryan Green as a Flash Designer.

According to a recent survey by OfficeTeam, 37 percent of workers said the top networking mistake is not asking people for help. The next biggest mistake, according to 25 percent of surveyed workers, was failing to keep in touch with professional acquaintances. Twenty-two percent said the biggest mistake was not thanking people for their help.

The Utah Shakespearean Festival has recently announced that copies of the Journal of the Wooden O Symposium are available as back issues or subscription. The Journal covers Shakespearean research and discussion.

The Chamber’s next Business After Hours is tomorrow, May 22nd at Rose Sachs Gardens, a reception and meeting center in a serene wooded canyon only a few minutes from downtown. There will be the usual prizes, food, and business building networking. Also this month is a special Business After Hours II in Wasatch County on May 29th.
