This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Finding the right furniture to match the right house can be a bit tricky. Many people spend hours hunting for that perfect sofa or dinning room table. Utah's Kelly Wallman, however, specializes in easing the burden of home decorating. Her company, San Francisco Design, not only sells furniture but also offers complimentary design service.

Kelly got her initial taste of the furniture industry as a buyer for a chain of furniture stores within the San Francisco area. She worked with the California company for years while her husband, Andy, worked as a district sales manager for a lime and cement company in the area. When Andy was transferred back to the Salt Lake area, Kelly decided to take the skills she learned and opened her own furniture store. Now, Andy also helps run the business.

Unlike many other furniture stores in Utah, San Francisco Design sells solely medium to upper-end furniture and focuses primarily on two distinct styles, contemporary and rustic. The store in Park City sells rustic furniture, whereas the store in Draper and Salt Lake carries a mixture of both contemporary and rustic styles.

Customers of San Francisco Design can simply pick out a table along with some matching chairs or go so far as to have an interior decorator come over and create an entire floor plan. The decorators pick out everything from sofas to desks to the decorative accessories for the room. They can design any room, including dinning rooms, studies, living rooms and bedrooms. Andy says they have done a lot of work for Utah Jazz players and several other prominent community members.

What makes San Francisco Design truly unique is the handpicked merchandise. Kelly attends several furniture expositions in the United States and in Milan, Italy each year.

This year the Salt Lake store is doubling in size, so look for the grand opening in July.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
