This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
The Utah Jazz basketball team has been in our community for 25 years and has been playoff bound every year for the past 20 years. The Jazz has brought a great deal of recognition, pleasure and economic value to the State of Utah.
We owe a great deal of appreciation and gratitude to Larry Miller for his great investment and guidance in keeping the franchise in Utah and keeping it always competitive and enjoyable.
Zions Bank is delighted to work with Larry Miller in providing a new, exciting basketball center that will serve as the premier basketball training and practice facility in the National Basketball Association. The new facility is called the Zions Bank Basketball Center and is located just west of the I-15 Freeway on 1420 South.
Kevin O'Connor, vice president of basketball operations, said, "I have had the chance to visit most of the NBA team facilities around the league. This will be the best in the NBA."
The main features of the Zions Bank Basketball Center are two full size NBA courts. Retractable bleacher seating is provided to accommodate spectators at court level. The center includes a team locker room with 20 custom, open face wardrobe-type lockers with associated shower, restroom, steam room, training and hydrotherapy areas.
I walked through the facilities and marveled at the quality, beauty and functionality of all areas of the new center. I think this new addition to the Jazz organization will help Larry Miller, Kevin O'Connor and team president Dennis Haslam keep the Jazz as one of the premier teams in the league. It should help in recruiting free agents, signing draft choices and keeping the team morale high. The training facilities will enable them to get quality practice and physical therapy at the highest level.
Thanks Larry Miller. You provide Jazz fans a great deal of pleasure.
