This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

This program is designed for business. We discuss and highlight outstanding business people and Utah businesses.

The Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce is also all about business. Their job is to stimulate our economy, provide jobs and help existing business grow, expand, penetrate new markets, make more profit and hire more people.

One of the most effective (and fun) activities of the chamber is the annual Business to Business Expo. This very large event provides more than 300 businesses the opportunity to display their products and services to thousands of customers and prospects over a three-day period. The event this year is today, Wednesday, April 30, Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2.

The chamber tells the business community "You'll be amazed at the difference it makes in doing business." This is not just a fun, social event. Business gets done as well. Deals are consummated. Contacts are made. Networking is accomplished. All of the activities are accomplished in a fun, exciting and enjoyable way.

The Expo features a large food area called, "Culinary Row." Opening night highlights include a mammoth balloon drop with hundreds of exciting prizes. In addition, the Special Olympics will kick off their Law Enforcement Torch Run and Jim Shea will sign autographs. There will be music, entertainment, demonstrations and an opportunity to visit each booth, and in many cases pick up samples and gifts from the exhibitors, or purchase the latest products. New this year is a special pre-registered event for CEOs on Thursday night.

Businesses cannot survive unless they continue to prospect and expand their customer base. The Salt Lake Chamber Business to Business Expo provides a great opportunity to meet dozens of new prospects.

The Expo is free but it is open to adults only. Don't miss it!

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
