THIS IS MICHAEL DE GROOTE FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT
Randy L. Dryer, an attorney at Parsons Behle & Latimer, will present a one-day seminar on April 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Airport. The seminar, titled “What you need to know about public records and open meetings in Utah,” is designed for attorneys, journalists, and government administrators and officials. For more information go to www.lorman.com.
The Salt Lake City Hilton, Wyndham, Marriott City Center, and Marriott Downtown hotels have created a cooperative effort with the Salt Palace Convention Center to make it easier for convention and meeting planners to book rooms at the hotels. The reservation service is called One Source. Here is how it works: Let’s say a meeting planner has to book 1000 rooms for a convention at the Salt Palace. Instead of being limited to booking them all at one hotel, One Source will enable the planner to use a combination of the hotels as if they were just one hotel. This saves time for the planners and gives them one contact instead of several.
This month’s Business After Hours is April 24th at 5 p.m. at Costco Wholesale at 1818 South 300 West. It’s another great meeting of food, fun, prizes, and the Chamber’s famous business-building networking. Register now by calling the Chamber at 328-5077, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
