This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

There is an old song that says, "Love makes the world go around." I'm not sure if that is really true but I do know that Love does make 20 Utah companies go around and helps them grow and gain market share and public awareness.

Love Communications, an advertising /public relations agency, has proven to be not only the fastest growing agency in Utah, but also one of the most effective.

The company was organized in August 1999 when Tom Love, who had been General Sales Manager for KTVX-TV for 15 years swayed his brother, Rich, and Preston Wood to take the giant step of becoming business owners and start a brand new agency -- Love Communications. Rich had been a creative director for more than 18 years at Harris & Love Advertising, and Preston had 20 years experience with four major firms. The three brought unique expertise and background to the new venture.

Tom and Rich's father, Bob Love, was one of the original founders of a very prestigious and successful agency. The boys were weaned on the business and that background has proven very valuable to clients such as Young Automotive, Arctic Circle, Anti-Tobacco, Standard Optical, Wingers, Cricket Wireless, United Way and the Salt Lake Chamber.

Their success has necessitated the recent move into a brand new office facility on 200 West between 500 and 600 South. The old Twin Type Building has been turned into a beautiful office for the 17 member staff. The building has been completely rebuilt to provide two large conference rooms, a reception area, offices, a large kitchen and a fun outdoor patio. The new location is on one-half acre and provides needed parking space.

Tom, who is the company president, told me how excited the firm is to be a part of the revitalization of the south end of the downtown corridor.

Love Communications now has more than $10 million in annual billings. Not bad at all for a little company that started with two accounts just three short years ago.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
