(KSL News) Several people were injured in a severe accident involving a tow truck and a car.

West Valley City Police Lt. Dalin Taylor was on the scene at 3500 South and 4000 West. He says the car turned in front of the tow truck, which hit it broadside.

Taylor says there were two adults and three juveniles in the car, including an infant. One person was in the tow truck.

A 5-year-old was ejected from the car. An 8-year-old needed to be extracted from the vehicle. Both were flown to the hospital and are in critical condition.

Paramedics say the infant is OK. The two adults are in medium condition. The driver of the tow truck is in critical condition.

Several people were injured in a car accident on Friday evening.

A 5-year-old boy was ejected in the accident. At least five people were taken to the hospital, two by helicopter. All are in critical condition.
