This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
When ships are stranded or in need of assistance, they send out an S.O.S. distress signal. Ships within the area that hear the signal then respond and provide aid as soon as possible to the struggling vessel. For the past 30 years, SOS Staffing has responded to the cries of businesses for help. Every year, the Utah based staffing service helps hundreds of companies in multiple states meet staffing needs, while also answering the call for employment from thousands of individuals.
JoAnn Wagner, the current CEO of SOS, says the staffing service dedicates itself to meeting the needs of its clients; in fact JoAnn has even worked on a few client assignments. SOS operates approximately 80 offices in thirteen states, including Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado and of course Utah. Each year, more than 80,000 people are temporarily or permanently employed with SOS clients. Many use the staffing service as a vehicle to find full-time jobs, gain professional experience or network with businesses.
Before placing an individual, SOS evaluates the skills of each person to appropriately match the person with the right job in the right industry. SOS services all types of businesses in a variety of fields ranging from industrial specialists and skill laborers to technical services and clerical positions.
In addition to meeting the staffing needs of its clients, SOS also provides companies with employee time keeping systems. JoAnn tells me that SOS can outfit clients with biometric scanning machines capable of positive identification by reading the hands of employees. The devices allow companies to keep track of when employees begin and end work, as well as monitor who exactly is working on what job. The system saves clients money and enhances efficiency.
With companies being tossed around by the waves of an ever-changing economy, SOS Staffing is ready to assist businesses with their employment needs.
