(KSL News) The Bureau of Land Management says campers aren't the only Labor Day vacationers that need to be concerned with fire safety.
Whether you are hitting the road or the trails, officials warn travelers to be very careful this holiday weekend.
Although fire restrictions have been lifted, fires are still starting in Utah, and most of them are human-caused. Officials say even drivers need to be aware of potential fire dangers.
"Vehicles, when they don't stay on the roads, when they back into grasses, they can start fires. When they pull off to the side of the road, even on the highway and into grasses, it can start fires," said Susan Marzec of the BLM.
The Bureau of Land Management reminds Labor Day campers to always keep water next to campfires and to never leave fires unattended.
