MIDVALE — One man died and another man was seriously injured after a shooting at an apartment complex Saturday morning, police said.

Emergency crews responded to a report of the shooting near 200 W. Plum Tree Ln. (6905 South) at around 9:55 a.m., according to Unified police detective Chuck Malm.

Malm said both were taken to a local hospital where one of the individuals died. Unified police later identified the deceased as 21-year-old Deondre Baldwin. The second victim, a 20-year-old male, remains in critical condition, according to police.

Malm said police were searching for two male suspects. Unified police later stated detectives were working on leads on the suspects. Police stated they are unable to confirm the motive of the shooting and are investigating the case as a homicide.
