(KSL News) Two elementary school girls telling stories cost the City of Salt Lake close to $10,000.
Police were called to Rose Park Elementary yesterday morning after the girls told teachers they saw another student being forced into a vehicle. After a three-and-a-half-hour search conducted by police, FBI agents, and volunteers, the girls admitted to making up the story.
School officials say the girls will be disciplined. Police officials say they will be speaking to the girls' parents.
