Consonus, a Utah-based provider of data center and networking services, announced the first U.S. sale of QLogic's new 64-port fibre channel switch. The University of Utah Hospital made the purchase, which will enable them to improve their storage area networks.

Eliot Management Group, based in Salt Lake City, announced the opening of a branch office in Seattle. This brings the number of branch offices to nine. Eliot Management Group provides credit card and related services.

The Bank of Utah has revamped its website at www.bankofutah.com. In addition to offering online banking, the website may be customized to give local weather reports, news, and as a daily planner.

U.S. Translation Company recently translated a Utah promotional video from English to Spanish. The video was used by Governor Leavitt and other representatives as part of their trade mission to Mexico City. The trade mission was one of several planned to leverage the success of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

The Chamber’s Giant Step Small Business Awards honor the best in small business. The winners for 2003 are for Home Based Business - Bruno Group Turnkey Events, Entreprenuerial Success- Singing Cricket Café,
