SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Provo woman who didn't know she was pregnant until the day she gave birth is preparing to go home with a healthy baby girl.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2bzRV4Y ) that Brooke and Calvin Williams welcomed the birth of their child Sunday at Utah Valley Hospital.
The couple had gone to the hospital after Brooke Williams suffered several seizures.
Doctors evaluated the woman and tests revealed she was 35 weeks pregnant.
Calvin Williams says the news came as a surprise because his wife never felt any signs of pregnancy and was previously told she could never have children.
He described the situation as "a whirlwind," but says the baby is 5 pounds, 8 ounces and is doing great.
While it's still unclear what prompted the seizures, the mother is reported to be doing fine and is expected to go home this week.
