MIAMI (AP) — Police say an 8-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the head during a drive-by shooting outside a Miami home.
Miami-Dade police Detective Robin Pinkard said in a news release that Jada Page was standing near the front door of the house when the shooting started Sunday evening. The release says Jada's 32-year-old father, James Page, was shot multiple times in the torso and taken to the hospital. He was listed in stable condition.
Authorities say at least two men pulled up in a black, four-door Ford sedan and began shooting at the father.
Police don't have anyone in custody. They say it's too early to say whether the shooting was related to another shooting over the weekend in which two people were killed at a wake.
