ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have a new defensive back. The NFC club has signed veteran free-agent safety Dashon Goldson to help fill the void left by an injury to rookie Keanu Neal. Goldson, a 2012 All-Pro with the 49ers, had 110 tackles in 15 starts with the Redskins in 2015.
SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium (AP) — The winner of the Belgian Grand Prix earlier today was pole sitter Nico (NEE'-koh) Rosberg. The Mercedes driver finished in front of Daniel Ricciardo (rih-KAHR'-doh) and fellow Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.
BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — The Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway is just over half over and the leader is Jimmie Johnson. He leads Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson. Pole sitter Joey Logano was sitting in tenth after 104 laps.
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Patrick Reed has tied third-round leader Rickie Fowler for the lead during the final round of The Barclays. Each is 10-under-par, Reed after seven holes and Fowler six. Emiliano Grillo (eh-mee-lee-AN'-oh GREE'-yoh) is alone in third at minus-9.
