NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Louisiana State Police say two people are dead and dozens injured after an out-of-control bus carrying flood recovery volunteers hit a fire truck and firefighters who had responded to a wreck. Police say a local fire chief was among those killed, when he and two other firefighters were thrown off a section of Interstate 10 into water below. At state trooper told local news outlets that the bus driver didn't have a commercial license and wasn't authorized to drive a bus.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Authorities say dive teams are still looking for the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in a large New Orleans lake. A New Orleans police spokeswoman said earlier today that the wreckage has been found, but now says it turned out to be unrelated debris. Two men are missing. A woman was rescued after the crash last night.

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say two brothers who were on parole for prior criminal activity have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of the cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade. Nykea Aldridge, a 32-year-old mother of four, was pushing her baby in a stroller Friday when she was shot in the head and arm. The suspects, Darwin Sorrells Jr. and Derren Sorrells, were also charged with attempted murder. Police say they were trying to shoot someone else.

BOSTON (AP) — Boston police are set to launch a body camera program after months of resistance from rank-and-file officers. A department consultant had to select a racially diverse mix of officers to test the cameras because none volunteered. The cameras will be used in some of Boston's high-crime neighborhoods, college student areas and tourist hotspots. The cameras officially go live Sept. 1 on 100 officers.

TRIANGLE, Va. (AP) — President Barack Obama and the first family are hiking at Prince William Forest Park in Virginia to celebrate the centennial of the national park system. It's the largest protected natural area in the Washington region. The National Park Service says the park has 37 miles of hiking trails that meander through some 15,000 acres.
