HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) — A mother has been charged in the death of her son who drowned in the pool at a central Alabama apartment while she shopped at Walmart.
Al.com reported Friday that 29-year-old Davida Samantha Flint left her 2-year-old son Caden Jemison and two other children at home while she shopped. Homewood police said she initially told them she was home during the incident, but surveillance video from Walmart showed she was at the store when Jemison drowned at the Chastaine Park Apartments on July 26.
Jail records show that Flint is charged with reckless manslaughter. She was released from the Jefferson County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond on Thursday.
