Montgomery Watson Harza, a Salt Lake City environmental engineering company, recently signed a contract with the Port of Venice, Italy to clean up the contaminated sediments in the harbor over the next two years. The two-phased contract is $2 million dollars for the pilot program and an additional $40 to $50 million dollars for the final long-term cleanup.

NextQuo, a Salt Lake consulting firm, has ceased operation.

Repertory Dance Theater is hosting an Open House of its Community School Classes tomorrow, January 4th at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 West 300 South. For more information visit rdtutah.org.

Bank One, which operates 25 banking centers along the Wasatch Front, has unveiled a plan to expand its banking network by more than 20 percent in the next 12 to 18 months. That will mean five or six new branches and about 50 new jobs. The first of the new branches, located in the Harmons supermarket at 11400 South 700 East opened in November.
