MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Donald Trump is rebutting allegations from Hillary Clinton that he has unleashed a "radical fringe" within the Republican party, including anti-Semites and white supremacists. Speaking in Nevada, Clinton said Trump's campaign is seeking to "make American hate again." Trump, who met at Trump Tower with minority Republicans today, says Clinton is seeking to divert attention from questions about donations to The Clinton Foundation and her use of her private email servers.

AMATRICE, Italy (AP) — Italian Premier Matteo Renzi has authorized millions in emergency funding and ordered the cancellation of taxes for residents in towns wrecked by Wednesday's early-morning earthquake. Renzi also unveiled an initiative called "Italian Homes" to address chronic criticism of shoddy construction standards nationwide. The death toll stands at 250 with hundreds more injured.

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — An official says a California man and woman wanted for killing a mother and kidnapping three children have been arrested in Colorado. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey were arrested today in Pueblo, about 40 miles south of Colorado Springs. The children were found safe yesterday in a motel on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Department of Education of has banned the for-profit college chain ITT Educational Services from enrolling new students who use federal financial aid. ITT has been the subject of state and federal investigations focusing on its recruiting and accounting practices. ITT has been ordered to pay $152 million to the department within 30 days to cover refunds and other liabilities in case the company closes.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Brazilian police have charged American swimmer Ryan Lochte (LAHK'-tee) with filing a false robbery report over an incident during the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. A police statement said Lochte would be informed in the U.S. so he could decide whether to introduce a defense in Brazil. Lochte initially said that he and fellow swimmers were robbed at gunpoint.
