NEW YORK (AP) — More declines in health care stocks are pulling indexes lower on Wall Street. Biotechnology companies continued to fall today as pressure mounts on them over their drug pricing practices. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 33 points, or 0.2 percent, to 18,448. The Standard & Poor's 500 index gave up 3 points, or 0.1 percent, to 2,172. The Nasdaq composite edged down 5 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,212.

NEW YORK (AP) —Oil prices are edging higher. Benchmark U.S. crude rose 55 cents today closing at $47.32 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Meanwhile, Brent crude, which is used to price oil internationally, also rose 55 cents to $49.60 a barrel in London.

HOUSTON (AP) — A Texas jury has found that a General Motors ignition switch was not to blame for a 2011 accident that killed one driver and injured another one. Zachary Stevens and his parents had sued GM, claiming a faulty ignition switch in Stevens' Saturn Sky jostled off, causing him to lose control of his car and hit another vehicle, killing its driver. Attorneys for GM told jurors the accident was caused by Stevens' reckless speeding on a rain-slick road.

UNDATED (AP) — The U.S. Department of Education is banning the for-profit college chain ITT Educational Services from enrolling new students who use federal financial aid. Department officials made the announced today. It's among a series of measures meant to increase financial oversight of the company, which has been the subject of state and federal investigations focusing on its recruiting and accounting practices.

UNDATED (AP) — Swimmer Ryan Lochte (LAHK'-tee) has a new sponsor — Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops. The company says customers should give Lochte "a second chance" after a drunken incident during the Rio Olympics. Lochte had lost four major sponsors Monday, including Speedo USA and Ralph Lauren, over what happened in Rio.
