MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Donald Trump is accusing Hillary Clinton of "trying to smear" him and his supporters with a speech linking him to hate groups. Clinton today is highlighting Trump's support within the "alt-right" movement, which is often associated with efforts on the far right to preserve "white identity." Trump says Clinton is trying to accuse all of his millions of supporters of being racists. He says, "It's the oldest play in the Democratic playbook." At a rally in New Hampshire, Trump described his supporters as "decent American citizens" who "want their laws enforced and respected."

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Hillary Clinton is warning that the Republican Party is being taken over by "a radical fringe," motivated by "prejudice and paranoia." Clinton, speaking today in Reno, Nevada, says Donald Trump "built his campaign on prejudice and paranoia," which is "taking hate groups mainstream." Clinton has been painting her opponent as fearmongering and racist as he works to win over minority voters. Trump has struggled to win over Hispanic and black voters.

NEW YORK (AP) — A Clinton spokeswoman says Chelsea Clinton will stay on the board of the Clinton Foundation. Bill Clinton announced last week that the Clinton Foundation would no longer accept foreign and corporate donations and that he said he would step down from the board if Hillary Clinton is elected president. A health project connected to the foundation is exploring a range of changes but may continue to accept foreign government and corporate funding.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Turkey has sent more tanks into northern Syria today. And it's giving Syrian Kurdish forces a week to scale back their presence near the Turkish border. There have been skirmishes today between Turkish-backed Syrian rebels and the U.S.-backed Kurdish fighters near a contested border town. It's raising the potential for an all-out confrontation between the two American allies. Turkey's incursion yesterday to capture the town of Jarablus marked a dramatic escalation of its role in Syria's war.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Authorities say two Catholic nuns have been found slain in a Mississippi home where they lived. An assistant police chief in Durant says an officer found them when they didn't report to work as normal. According to state police, it appears the nuns were homicide victims. Police in Durant say it's too early to say how the nuns died, but that it appears they were not shot. Both worked as nurse practitioners.
