MIAMI (AP) — The Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports are reopened after power was restored to the air traffic control center that monitors arriving and departing flights in the area.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said Thursday that the agency stopped arrivals and departures at Miami and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood international airports for less than an hour. The problem had been resolved by 12:45 p.m.
She said it is unclear how many flights were affected.
