SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Chargers have withdrawn their contract offer to first-round draft pick Joey Bosa and will restructure a deal that takes into account his absence from the team. San Diego says it offered the defensive end a signing bonus payment larger than any draftee received in the last two drafts, and more money in 2016 than any draftee except Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. Bosa is the only first-rounder who has not signed with his team.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Evan Gattis hit his 20th home run and Carlos Correa got two hits and scored twice, leading Houston over Pittsburgh 5-4. It was the Astros fifth win in six games, while Pittsburgh has dropped five of six. Gerrit Cole continued his recent struggles, allowing five runs in five innings to increase his ERA in August to 6.07 ERA through five starts.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ryan Braum homered twice and drove in three runs to lead Milwaukee to a 7-1 win over Colorado. Nolan Arenado hit his National League-leading 34th homer for the Rockies and upped his Major League-leading RBI total to 108.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Angels closer Huston Street has undergone season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus. The surgery puts an end to the least impressive season of Street's 12-year career. The three-time All-Star hasn't pitched since July 31 and is 3-2 with a career-low nine saves and a 6.45 ERA.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers have signed top pick Brandon Ingram who was the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. The Duke product's rookie contract is expected to be worth more than $23 million over four years.
