BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Former GOP gubernatorial candidate Russ Fulcher says he is running for governor for a second time. Fulcher tells the Idaho Statesman that he made his announcement early because he felt it was important for people to know he was running again. Fulcher lost to Otter in 2014 by roughly 13,000 votes.
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A fast-moving rangeland wildfire in eastern Idaho expanded to nearly 70 square miles Wednesday, forcing evacuations, threatening a windfarm and burning habitat needed by sage grouse. The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office says evacuations are in place with up to 70 buildings along U.S. Highway 26 threatened.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Officials say about 50 people have been evacuated from campgrounds and lodging because of a wildfire in Grand Teton National Park in northwest Wyoming. The fire made a 5-mile run Monday, forcing the closure of a 10-mile stretch of road that leads into Yellowstone's South Entrance.
