SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun stories from the world of sports in From Left Field, our daily roundup of the lighter side of competition.

1. Aly Raisman asked out on date by NFL player, says yes

In a video for Yahoo! Sports, U.S. gymnast Aly Raisman explained her dating preferences before getting a surprise at the end: a video message from Oakland Raiders tight end Colton Underwood asking her to accompany him on a double date with teammate Andrew East and his wife, gymnast Shawn Johnson.

Raisman, for her part, says he's 'very cute', and she's heard about Underwood before. And she sent out this tweet thanking Underwood for the video:

2. Those kneel down plays can be rough

Football is a violent sport. But when kneeling down at the end of thegame, everything should be good, right? Well, in the new edition of Madden that comes out Tuesday, it turns out injuries are lurking around the corner on every play.

I expect this one to be patched relatively soon.

3. Minor leaguer hits own car with grand slam

Brandon Thomas of the independent Frontier League hit a long grand slam in the second inning of his Gateway Grizzlies' win over the Joliet Slammers.

How long? Well, it traveled so far as to reach the players parking lot, where it smashed his own truck's windshield.

> Can't make this up. [@brandonthomas6](https://twitter.com/brandonthomas6) hit a grand slam tonight that smashed a windshield. That's his own truck. Thomas said the grand slam was "definitely worth it!" And who knows? Now that the whole internet knows he can hit the ball a long way, maybe he'll see a call-up?
