PHOENIX (AP) — Jace Peterson has been scratched from the Atlanta Braves' lineup due to general soreness a day after crashing into the outfield wall and later hitting a game-ending homer .

Peterson stayed in Sunday's game after running shoulder-first into the wall in center during the third inning to make a catch. He hit a walkoff homer in the 10th inning for a 7-6 victory over the Washington Nationals.

Peterson was initially listed in Monday's lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks batting seventh and playing second base, but he was replaced by Chase d'Arnaud.

Peterson is batting .255 with seven homers and 22 RBIs in 83 games this season.
