SALT LAKE CITY — KSL.com readers who took a recent poll indicated Crown Burgers is home to their favorite onion rings in Utah.
The poll presented readers with 10 restaurants that offer onion rings on their menu. Thirty-six percent of voters chose Crown Burgers as their favorite restaurant for onion rings among the listed options, while 13 percent prefer the fried dish at Red Rock Brewing Company.
Apollo Burgers took third place in the poll, with 12 percent of participants on its side. More than 5,400 people participated in the poll.
A small order of onion rings at Crown Burgers cost $2.75, and a regular order costs $3.95, according to the menu.
Dean Maroudas, general manager for the Crown Burgers located at 377 E. 200 South in Salt Lake City, thinks Crown Burgers onion rings are unique, because they use fresh onions and slice them and bread them daily in-house, he said.
Maroudas said he thinks it’s great they were rated the No. 1 onion rings in Utah.
“We’re very happy and proud and honored that people like our onion rings so much I should say,” he said.
Last month, KSL.com readers voted Crown Burgers as the best burger place in Utah.
