AMSTERDAM (AP) — Feyenoord beat Heracles Almelo 1-0 Sunday for its third straight league victory of the season and stayed atop the Eredivisie on goal difference.
Two-time defending champion PSV Eindhoven kept up its own 100 percent record Saturday night with a 4-0 win at PEC Zwolle, while ADO The Hague also made it three from three by beating Excelsior Rotterdam 2-1 Friday.
Ajax slumped to a 2-1 home defeat to Willem II Tilburg to fall to eighth in the league as new coach Peter Bosz struggles to emulate the success of predecessor Frank de Boer who led the Amsterdam club to four straight titles from 2011-2014.
It was Willem II's first ever league victory at Ajax.
