This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
When a company expands into a new territory, it usually takes several months or longer to gain some recognition or market share. Not so with Rocky Mountain Printing. They really hit the ground running when they recently expanded into the St. George market.
Gary and Teague Bengtzen have been very successful in their operation in Orem. They knew they would have great potential serving Southern Utah and Clark County, Nevada by establishing a strong presence in St. George. The area did not have a company capable of printing four colors in a single pass.
They found a 7,000-square-foot building ideally suited to their operation, bought some very sophisticated equipment and jumped into the printing business in Washington County. Gary told me as we walked through the facility that perhaps the building is larger than they need right now, but if the business continues its already rapid growth, the space will all be utilized in the near future.
They wanted to become known for not only their great expertise and capabilities but also as a caring corporate citizen. They quickly joined the local chamber of commerce and asked the chamber to assist with a gala grand opening celebration. They also hosted a chamber meeting function and began networking in the community. It worked! Gary told me that business was good the first month and continues to grow.
I sat in Garyís office and asked him why they had enjoyed such rapid success. He said, ìOur business is to supply effective printed communications which work toward solving customer problems.î He went on to explain that he and his son had over 40 years of experience in the graphic arts industry.
Recently, Rocky Mountain Printing was honored as the only printer in Utah to be named to the top 50 Fastest Growing Printing Companies in America.
Yes, Four-Color printing capability isnít a dream in St. George anymore. Rocky Mountain Printing is a dream come true for the Washington County business community.
