SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Devin Obee gave up just three hits and struck out seven to help Bowling Green, Kentucky beat San Antonio, Texas 11-1 in five innings on Friday night in the Little League World Series.
Obee was also 2 for 3 with one RBI and scored three runs.
Kentucky took advantage of eight errors by Texas.
Carson Myers had a RBI single to center field to give Kentucky a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The next pitch rolled to the backstop, scoring John Guthrie and Isaiah Head singled to center to make it 3-0. Kentucky added two runs in the second.
Obee went deep on the first pitch of the fourth to give Kentucky a 6-1 lead. Then they broke it open with five runs after two outs in the fifth. Tate Hanks scored on a throwing error, Spencer Newman drove in one with a single and Obee scored on an error to make it 9-1. Newman scored after an error and Turner Nottmeier had a RBI single to left field.
