CLARK, N.J. (AP) — A clothes dryer has exploded at a New Jersey home, blowing out the home's windows and injuring its owner.

NJ.com says the explosion was reported Thursday in Clark.

Fire Deputy Chief John Pingor tells NJ.com (http://bit.ly/2bMA5LT) two windows and a sliding glass door at the rear of the home were blown out.

The homeowner suffered burns to his left arm.

Pingor says the man was using the dryer when it blew up, damaging sheet rock in the house and singeing the sheets he was drying.

Firefighters have ventilated the home. A utility crew is looking for any natural gas leak.

The homeowner should be able to sleep in his house tonight. And there's no damage to surrounding homes.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
