IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Eastern Idaho authorities say they will seek the death penalty for a man charged with killing his pregnant girlfriend at her cabin near Driggs, Idaho.

The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/2b7a0mH) that the Teton County Prosecutor's Office in Idaho on Wednesday filed the paperwork in the case against 39-year-old Erik Ohlson of Jackson, Wyoming.

Ohlson is charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the July 5 fatal shooting of Jennifer Nalley.

Police say Ohlson told detectives he consumed alcohol before going to Nalley's cabin and shooting her multiple times without saying a word.

An autopsy found she was shot several times by a .45-caliber handgun.

Police have not stated a possible motive.

Nalley has a physics degree and is a founding member of the Texas Rollergirls roller derby league.
