BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a California man has been killed in a watercraft accident on the Arizona side of the Colorado River.

Bullhead City police say 39-year-old Said Sadallah Khalil of Fountain Valley was jet skiing Tuesday afternoon with his 14-year-old nephew.

Police say the two were headed southbound on the river near the Laughlin Bridge when Khalil took a sharp turn in front of his nephew and they collided.

Emergency crews performed CPR on Khalil at the scene and paramedics transported him to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the teenager wasn't injured.
