Grain mostly lower, livestock mostly higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Sept. delivery was 4.80 cents lower at $4.2246 a bushel; Sept. corn was 2.40 cents lower at $3.28 bushel; Sept. oats was unchanged at $1.6960 a bushel; while August soybeans fell 9 cents to $10.18 a bushel.

Beef mixed and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle was .03 cent higher at $1.1488 a pound; August feeder cattle was unchanged at $1.4655 pound; August lean hogs was up .92 cent to $.6100 a pound.
