Penn State media studies professor reported missing

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a media studies professor at Penn State University's main campus has been reported missing.

State College police tell the Centre Daily Times (http://bit.ly/2bitgfM ) that 56-year-old Ronald Bettig was last seen about 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

They say he drives a maroon 2010 Ford Focus with a Pennsylvania license plate, HJL5155. They say his car is also missing.

Bettig is an associate professor in the university's College of Communication, and was hired in 1988.
