WOODLAND PARK, N.J. (AP) — In a story Aug. 17, The Associated Press reported data about student loan debt incurred by students at Centenary College in Hackettstown, as cited in a new study compiled by a private web marketplace for student loans and refinancing. The college disputes figures cited in the article, saying that 74 percent of students in the Class of 2015 who received a bachelor's degree had taken out loans and that the average debt per borrower was $33,821. The web marketplace says the school initially did not report its data but has since done so, so the report will be updated.
