BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Much of south Louisiana looks like the set of a disaster film tonight, a developing drama that is tragically real for tens of thousands of people who've lost their homes and had their lives overturned by floods. Eleven deaths have been confirmed, and now 20 parishes are a part of the state's federal disaster declaration. More than 36,000 people from Louisiana have registered so far for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, according to the office of Gov. John Bel Edwards.

UNDATED (AP) — Aetna has become the latest major health industry player to drop its participation in the Affordable Care Act insurance exchanges. Aetna, the nation's third largest insurer, says today that it will drop out of the exchanges next year in more than two-thirds of the counties where it now sells the coverage. Insurers have cited rising costs and fewer customers, particularly in rural markets. Today's announcement came several weeks after UnitedHealth and Humana said they would cut their coverage plans for 2017.
HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii's health department reports that imported frozen scallops served raw at restaurant were the source of an outbreak of hepatitis A that has sickened 168 people so far. Genki Sushi, a restaurant chain in Hawaii, threw out food and scrubbed its counters today after the health problem was discovered. Officials say people can contract hepatitis A by eating contaminated food, drinking contaminated water, having sex or close personal contact.
