ROOSEVELT — The FBI on Tuesday confirmed agents are investigating the death of a man on the Uintah-Ouray Indian Reservation over the weekend as a homicide.
The 28-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in the town of Gusher, FBI spokeswoman Sandra Barker said.
One man has been taken into custody on "tribal charges" in connection with the case, Barker said.
The FBI had not released names of the victim or the man in custody Tuesday. A cause of death was also not immediately released. Barker said the FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs were investigating the incident.
