AUBURN, Maine (AP) — Rep. Bruce Poliquin is hosting a town hall-style meeting in Auburn to discuss the opioid crisis in Maine.
Poliquin will appear at Central Maine Community College on Tuesday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/2bsHnzY ) reports Poliquin will be talking about prevention strategies that are being used to combat the epidemic.
Poliquin is a Republican who was elected in 2014. He is a founding member of the Congressional Bipartisan Task Force to Combat the Heroin Epidemic.
Families that have been impacted by addiction will also talk about prevention and treatment at the event.
